Parental Engagement Session

The Parental Engagement Session reminded us of something important “when parents listen, learn, and lead with love, children are protected and thrive. We came together to talk openly about teenage pregnancy and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) topics that are often difficult but deeply important. Many parents admitted they had never talked to their teens about these issues before. By the end of the day, they left with new confidence, ready to start honest conversations at home. “Now I know how to talk to my daughter about choices and safety not with fear, but with trust.” One of the parents shared her feelings and thoughts.

Change doesn’t happen in big moments alone. It happens in small talks at home, in listening without judgment, and in knowing where to seek help when something feels wrong.
